Carnavales de Sweet Havana Returns!
On August 2–3, 2025, Louisville comes alive for the second annual Carnavales de Sweet Havana — a community event celebrating cultures, flavors, and traditions to the rhythm of the Caribbean.
This year, the festival expands to two full days outdoors, featuring live music, cultural performances, art, a children’s area, and the best Cuban food.
The celebration begins Friday, August 1, with the exclusive welcome gala “Ritmo y Raíces” (Rhythm & Roots), where sponsors and community leaders will gather for cocktails, entertainment, and the official presentation of La Reina del Carnaval.
In 2024, over 2,000 people attended our inaugural carnival and more than 40 vendors joined the festivities.
For 2025, we expect more than 5,000 attendees over the weekend and plan to welcome back at least 60 vendors and exhibitors, filling our streets with color and flavor.
Carnavales de Sweet Havana represents the spirit of diversity, joy, and community that defines Louisville.
